Charities

Bettering Our Communities is fundamentally about doing the right things the right way - from setting high ethical expectations for our employees and suppliers, to providing a progressive and inclusive workplace, encouraging our associates to contribute and help their local communities.

This year, we are looking to work with our associates to support their charitable endeavors, whether that be through financial donations, supporting their fundraising activities or through donating time and support to their chosen causes.

Here are just a few of the charities and events we have supported this year:

Cancer Research UK

Cancer Research UK - Big Breakfast

Rich Products took part in Britain’s Biggest Breakfast Morning for Cancer Research on Friday 11th March 2016 - we sold over 150 breakfast rolls to our associates, held various activities and events throughout the day and raised and amazing £300!

Groundworks

Naomi House and Jacks Place

Naomi House & Jacksplace support children and young adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Central Southern England. In March, associates from Rich Products attended a Black Tie Charity Ball and helped to raise over £1300!

fairshare

Fare Share

FareShare is a national UK charity supporting communities to relieve food poverty. FareShare is at the centre of two of the most urgent issues that face the UK: food poverty and food waste.

The charity addresses these issues in three ways:
  • Providing quality food - surplus "fit for purpose" product from the food and drink industry - to organisations working with disadvantaged people in the community

  • Providing traning and education aroudn the the essential life skills of safe food preparation and nutrition, and warehouse employability training through Fareshare's Eat Well Live Well programme

  • Promoting the message that ‘No Good Food Should Be Wasted’

enactus

Enactus

Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Guided by academic advisors and business experts, the student leaders of Enactus create and implement community empowerment projects around the globe. The experience not only transforms lives, it helps students develop the kind of talent and perspective that are essential to leadership in an ever-more complicated and challenging world.

Charity Requests

We are also able to support other charities and organisations that request our help. Unfortunately we can't support with financial donations but we can offer product donations. Please read on for further details if you would like us to get involved with your charity.

If you are a charity and would like our help or support, here are some frequently asked questions which you might find useful before submitting your request to us. Your request will go straight through to Gemma (who looks after all our charity events) and she will come back to you in a few days!

What help can you provide?

We can provide free product to charities and organisations undertaking activities to raise money for charity. We cannot guarantee specific products and quantity offered, as it is dependent on availability at the time of the event. However, we will endeavour to meet your requirements wherever possible.

Can you deliver the product to us?

Unfortunately, we cannot organise delivery of our products. It will therefore be on a collection only basis.

What are the criteria for sponsorship?

You must be a registered British charity or an organisation that supports our corporate social responsibility vision.

When and how should we apply for sponsorship?

Applications can be made throughout the year by submitting an application form found at the bottom of the page, although we do ask that you give us at least two weeks' notice before your event is due.

How do you select which charities or organisations to support?

Most of our sponsorship budget is pre-allocated through our existing relationships with charities, but we are committed to supporting other charities that require our help. We will consider any charity or organisation that meet our criteria.

How and when will we know if we've been selected?

We will reply to every application as soon as we can.

If you can help us, what is the process?

Once we confirm your application is successful, we will let you know a date and time that you can collect the product from our reception at our factory in Fareham, Hampshire.

What can we do to help you?

We would like to receive feedback from your event, either in the form of photos or letters or any other appropriate form within a couple of months.

What if we have any other queries?

Please contact us if you have any other queries by either writing to us or by email. Please see the Get In Touch tab at the top of this page for further details.
