*The icing on the cupcake on the right was made using Rich’s Masterblend and offers a 60% (approx) reduction in saturated fats when compared to the icing on the cupcake on the left, made using traditional buttercream.

Food Standards Agency Guidelines recommend that by end of 2010, existing cakes should have a reduced saturated fat content (of the final cake product) of at least 10% compared to the level in that product during 2008. This reduction should be accompanied by a calorie reduction unless a technical case can be made that this is not achievable. New Products should contain at least 10% less saturated fat than the nearest equivalent existing product on the market in 2008.
